well life's a funny thing. filled with lots of good things and lots of joy. of course it's also filled with sadness sometimes. so today was one of sadness and i honor my mother who has passed away. she died in her sleep as night was passing into day - from friday to saturday. my heart is sad but it isn't broken because it's filled with gratitude for having her as a mother for all these years.

a lot of kind words were said about my mom in the last days and her grandchildren are devastated. my nephew wrote her a letter. don't know the exact words but it went something like this -
dear grandma -
you were the best. hope your having fun in heaven. i love you more than you will ever know.

my neice wrote something special too but it's too long to remember but her thoughts today were reflected in her AIM away message. don't know if she wrote this or someone else but here is a glimpse into her world.
"where did i go wrong, i lost a friend. somewhere along in the bitterness, and i would have stayed up with you all night had i known how to save a life."
